Core training at the USC
Core training focuses on strengthening the core muscles of the body, including the abdominal and back muscles, to improve stability, strength, and balance.
The class includes various ground exercises, such as crunches and rotational movements, as well as static exercises like planking and side planks to strengthen the lower back. With strong abdominal and back muscles, you develop a muscular corset which helps reduce lower back pain. Sometimes, we train using small weights and accompanied by music. The class typically lasts about 25 minutes and concludes with a brief cooling-down period with stretching exercises to relax and recover the muscles.
