Advanced Yoga at the USC
Looking for the yoga poses and tips that will take your practice to the next level? In the advanced yoga classes you'll find advanced asanas, fun variations, and sequences to keep yourself challenged. Postures are held longer and varied with more complex postures. There are also lessons where a chair is used.
Chair Yoga (based on Iyengar yoga) – to relax the body, quiet the mind, improve mobility and flexibility, feeling renewed from the inside out. We will perform our asanas using chairs, so that we can discover new alignments, strengthen our core and spine, help opening the lungs while breathing consciously and improve overall body flexibility. The simple use of a chair offers relaxation and a deep sense of peace while practicing our poses, even the most challenging.
Make sure you are on time. Once the class is started, it is no longer possible to join in.
