extra relaxations corona measures USC
More good news! In the press conference on March 8, the cabinet gave more space to older athletes. From March 16, people aged 27 and older can exercise together outside with a maximum of four people on our courts and fields, provided that they keep a distance of 1.5 meters. This does not apply for competitions, only for training. This means that at the University Sports Center and at the student sports associations there are again more opportunities to do sports together.
National Meat-Free Week
Next week is the Dutch National Meat-Free Week, from Monday the 8th to Sunday the 14th of March. By not consuming any meat for a week during the National Meat-free Week, you lessen the environmental pressure of your (current) diet. This short-lasting dietary change therefore already contributes significantly to the betterment of the environment. Having solely vegetarian meals namely leads to the reduction of the amount of water used and of deforestation, and to a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions.
Plex-Fit starts with outdoor Fitness
From Monday, March 8, we will start with outdoor fitness at Plex-Fit. There are a total of 2 fields on the courtyard of Student Center Plexus. Here, two people can do sports per field (1.5 meters distance).
Sustainable shop behavior - recycling of clothing
Continuing where we left off last week, this week will be about the reusing and recycling of clothing.
Warning and fine system USC
In the coming weeks the USC will start with a warning and fine system. It is important that the space available for sports is used as good as possible for our members. If you are not attending your reservation and if you do not cancel this reservation in time, you will receive a warning the first time. This warning is valid for two months, after which it will expire automatically. If you are not attending a reservation a second time within these two months your account will be blocked for 7 days and you will be fined 2.50 euros.
