Network Maintenance: Temporary Disruptions to USC Services on 28–29 June

From Saturday 28 June at 06.00 to Sunday 29 June, the ISSC will carry out essential network maintenance. During this period, the university network will be unavailable. This may impact several USC services for our members.

Main Building Open – Group Classes Continue

The main USC building will remain open on both days. Scheduled group classes will proceed as usual. However, digital systems such as turnstiles, lockers and fixed payment terminals will be out of service. Please plan accordingly.

Plex-Fit and The Buzz Closed
These facilities rely heavily on network-dependent systems for access, security, and operation. As a result, Plex-Fit and The Buzz will be closed on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June.

Club building and Outdoor Fields Available
The club building will remain accessible. Sports fields are available for free use during regular opening hours. On Saturday, Qravel will host its Club Championships on the fields.

Swimming Pool Access via the USC Leiden App
As the turnstiles will be offline, swimmers will not be able to show their reservation or membership via the regular access system. Fortunately, the USC Leiden app remains accessible via mobile data. Please show your valid booking or membership at the reception desk using the app.

Available via mobile internet (4G/5G):
• The USC Leiden app

Looking Ahead
From Monday 30 June, all sports facilities and digital systems will be fully operational again. Until then, we kindly ask for your understanding regarding limited digital access and temporary facility closures. Thank you for your flexibility!

Questions?
Please submit them before 28 June via the Helpdesk portal, by email at helpdesk@issc.leidenuniv.nl, or by phone: +31 (0)71 527 8888.
Note: The Helpdesk will also be unavailable on 28 and 29 June.

Why This Maintenance?

Parts of the university’s network infrastructure require routine maintenance twice a year. These upgrades ensure that all staff and students can continue to access the university network safely and reliably.
