Roadworks on the cycle path: expect diversions

From Saturday 22 March to Friday 28 March, roadworks will take place on the cycle path around the University Sports Centre. This may affect access to the University Sports Centre and the sports fields.
Saturday 22 March: Resurfacing Works
On Saturday 22 March, the final layer of asphalt will be applied to the cycle path along the Hartlijn. This will take place on Zernikedreef, Trambaan, and Einsteinweg.
Key Points:
- The cycle path along Einsteinweg will be inaccessible on Saturday afternoon. Cyclists can use the roadway with the assistance of traffic marshals.
- The footpath will remain open. Sports visitors can walk around the work area via Campusplein (de Schotel) on the left side.
- JH Oortweg will be closed in the afternoon and will not be easily accessible.
Monday 24 – Friday 28 March: Final Works
During this period, finishing touches, such as road markings, will be completed. This may cause temporary closures at various times.
Please Be Aware of:
- Temporary closures of the cycle path. Cyclists can use the roadway with the assistance of traffic marshals.
- Extra travel time to the sports fields due to diversions.
We advise all sports visitors to take this into account and, if necessary, choose an alternative route. Thank you for your understanding!
