USC Leiden and The Hague starts with direct debit membership
USC membership with monthly payments starting from January 27, 2025
Good news! Starting from January 27, the University Sports Centre is making it easier (and more convenient) than ever to manage your sports membership. We are introducing direct debit, meaning you no longer need to pay for the entire year but can instead pay in 12 installments.
This means that once a month, the payment for your sports membership will be automatically withdrawn. And that is not all, all new members will no longer have to pay our registration fee. We’d like to inform you briefly what this means.
We offer two options: an annual membership for at least 1 year, or a flexible membership that you can cancel monthly. As a student, you will pay €17.80 per month for the annual subscription and €25.75 for the flexible subscription. Not a student? Here you can find an overview of all our rates.
Here are the key details:
- Direct Debit Memberships Starting January 1, 2025: From this date, you can choose a membership where you pay monthly.
- Annual Membership: This subscription lasts for at least one year. After the first year, you can cancel it monthly. If you don’t cancel it after one year, the membership will continue automatically, but it will be cancelable on a monthly basis.
- Flexible Membership: We also offer a flexible membership that you can cancel monthly, with no long-term commitments.
- Current Memberships: Do you already have an active membership? No worries, it will remain valid until its end date. After that, you can switch to one of the direct debit membership options.
- New Memberships: If you sign up for a new membership, we will ask for your consent to the direct debit, including your bank details. This process will be fully online via our webshop. It is not possible to arrange this at the USC reception, Plex-Fit, or The Buzz.
We have made this change to make things easier for our members and to make our sports memberships more accessible. In addition, we have created a dedicated FAQ page to answer any questions you might have about these changes.
